FREEDOM RING
Pushcart has a production
ready
to begin touring schools and theatres in October 2010
that’s just right for grades K-8. Entitled “Let
Freedom
Ring,”
it
is an all-new
production
of an earlier Pushcart piece (“American
Sampler”)
that fills a lovely groove of learning about America’s
beginnings. The
story is
told through some of America’s best loved folk tunes and
offers a
sweet, snappy
and powerful theatre experience for young and family audiences!
In
the process of bringing
history and social studies to life with effortless charm and dynamic
story
telling, “Let Freedom Ring” puts
human value issues squarely on the agenda in a way that even the
youngest of
viewers can grasp and consider. Colorful, informative and highly
entertaining “Let
Freedom Ring” will
leave young audiences humming – and
inspired to learn more about America’s vibrant past.

A Cinderella Tale
A
musical adaptation of the classic tale that takes us on a magical
journey, fueled by inner beauty, courage and kindness as they triumph
over greed, arrogance and bully behavior. Filled with many learning

About Pushcart
Players!
Pushcart is currently
celebrating its 34th season of stirring up serious fun - not only
throughout most of the U.S., but also in the former Soviet Union,
in the Czech
Republic
and in two guest appearances at the
White
House. The dynamic company is
the recipient of an Emmy nomination for two prime time specials on
WCBS-TV; and numerous awards for excellence and innovation in the
development
of theatre for young audiences.

All Pushcart programs
foster arts basic to education as described in "National Standards for
Arts In Education" and "Goals 2000" and are shaped by Higher Order
Thinking Skills (HOTS) and the SCANS Report. All programs offer
students the opportunity to develop critical thinking skills, problem
solving and self-discipline.
